Total Living Drink Greens Review:  Overview

There are so many superfood supplements which have an impressive looking list of ingredients on the label but are then majorly let down by the tiny dose you get per serving.  This certainly isn’t the case with Total Living Drink Greens.  Each serving is 40 grams from which you are getting a huge amount of nutrition, and included in that is whopping 11 grams of protein that’s suitable for vegans.  This makes the supplement very appealing to athletes and one of the reasons why I first tried this product.

What Is The 9-in-1 Formula – Does It Match The Claims?

Let’s dive a little bit deeper into the claims that you are getting the equivalent nutrition of 9 separate supplements in 1 and whether the list really is worth shouting about?  Your body will be affected in different ways from the 9 components that make up Total Living Drink Greens, so let’s take a look at each one and what it’s meant to do.

  1. Protein (11 grams):  Protein has lots of benefits, one of which is to help the body recover and build lean muscle tissue.
  2. Superfoods (15 grams):  The body will be provided with essential nutrients from this component
  3. Minerals (complete):  Minerals are needed for many different bodily functions like transmitting nerve impulses to building strong and healthy bones.
  4. Vitamins (complete):  Like minerals vitamins are an essential nutrient which play a huge role in maintaining a healthy body.  They repair cellular damage, help turn food into energy, and bolster your immune system to name a few.
  5. Probiotics (300 mg):  Live microorganisms commonly known as healthy bacteria, that help promote a strong and healthy immune system and digestive tract.
  6. Antioxidants (3 grams):  Provides a defence system to boost your immune system and prevent you from becoming ill.
  7. Amino Acids (2 grams):  Amino acids are the building blocks of protein.  They carry out vital bodily functions like giving cells their structure.
  8. Digestive Enzymes (450 milligrams):  Helps the body absorb more nutrients by assisting with digestion.
  9. Herbs (1.3 grams):  Helps cleanse and detoxify the body.

So are you really getting nine supplements in one?  Well, the nine components are most certainly potent enough to substantiate the claim.

Protein (11 grams)

Would you buy this product based solely on the 11 grams of vegan protein provided per serving?  Probably not.  You can buy stand-alone protein powders giving you double the amount Total Living Drink Greens offers per serving. However, 11 grams for a superfood supplement is huge and you won’t find this amount in many other green products out there.

This should first be viewed as an extremely potent and nutritional superfood supplement and the added protein is just a massive bonus which makes the product even more powerful.  If you are looking for a high-quality stand-alone protein powder then check out our top 7 whey protein powder reviews.

Digestive Enzymes, Probiotics, Herbs And Antioxidants Formula

Let’s move onto some of the other goodies included in Total Living Drink greens.  There are many stand-alone digestive enzymes, probiotics and antioxidants supplements you can buy.   However, from what I have seen, so many of them have smaller amounts and fewer potencies then what Total Living Drink Greens offer.  Plus buying each one of these as a separate supplement will become very pricey.  See below the full list that makes up each component.

  • Bromelain
  • Cellulase
  • Protease
  • Papain
  • Amylase

Superfood (natural fruit and vegetable) Formula

The 15-gram superfood (natural fruit and vegetable formula) component is made up of 14 ingredients which cover algae, grasses, fruit, sea and land vegetables.  It’s also good to keep in mind that the superfood component of Total Living Drink Greens is more potent than many other green drinks total serving size.

There are, however, other superfood drinks that contain a bigger variety of fruit and vegetable ingredients but that doesn’t mean they offer the same level of potency.

Amino Acid Formula

Kylea Health has added to extra amino acids to their supplement.  Glutamine and Taurine.  Each one has a separate role to play in the body.

Glutamine is an amino acid I recommend everyone to supplement with who is active and training hard.  It helps improve protein metabolism in the body and also helps to aid in recovery by preventing muscle breakdown.

Taurine is found in a lot of up and coming supplements these days.  More and more companies are realising the benefits of supplementing with this amino acid.  Other than being one of the most essential substances in the human body, it is a vital amino acid for the proper function of the minerals magnesium, potassium, sodium and calcium.  It has a hugely positive effect on your central nervous system and also increased the action of insulin in the body, which then improves your bodies tolerance to glucose.

a list of supplement facts for the superfood drink total living drink greens

Is Total Living Drink Greens Value For Money?

There are definitely two ways of looking at this.  In one way you may look at the typical $99 price tag and think that is far too much for one supplement, especially as there are many superfood powders on the market coming in $20 to $30 cheaper.

The other way of looking at it is, for you to add up what it would cost to buy all the different components as separate supplements.  If you were to do this you would be spending upwards of $250 easily.

You really are getting the equivalent nutrition of nine supplements in one, and for that reason, I do believe a months supply of Total Living Drink Greens is good value for money and priced correctly for what you are getting.

Are There Any Side Effects To This Supplement?

I personally don’t get any side effects from this product.  This may be due to the fact I have taken superfood supplements for a very long time, meaning my body has adapted to them.  However, with many superfood supplements, you may experience some form of bloating and irregular bowel movements at first.  If you have a sensitive digestive system then you may also experience a slightly uneasy feeling in your stomach.  This is down to the probiotics and digestive enzymes included.  If this feeling doesn’t settle after a few weeks then I would advise stopping taking Total Living Drink Greens.

How Nice Is It To Drink

The taste isn’t bad but there are most certainly better tasting superfood supplements out there.  Kylea Health used juice extracts over whole vegetable powders which is great as there are profoundly more phytonutrients but unfortunately this doesn’t do the product any favours in the flavour department.  How they even managed to get it to taste as nice as it does is a massive success.  When I first tried Total Living Drink Greens I took a deep breath as I  was expecting a strong algae taste to come across.  Well, I was pleasantly surprised and couldn’t taste any at all.

How Well Does It, Mix?

I’m going to keep this section nice and short.  If you mix Total Living Drink Greens in a normal shaker bottle or with a spoon in a cup, then it can leave quite a chalky texture, which isn’t the most pleasant of experiences.  However, if you blend it up into a smoothie with other ingredients then you won’t notice the chalky texture at all.

Is Total Living Drink Greens Right For You?

If you are someone who is looking for a quality product to really boost your health and fitness, then you won’t find a more potent one then Total Living Drink Greens.  It’s packed full of nutrition and it won’t be long before you start feeling the benefits.  I must add that you should never rely solely on supplements and this must be taken in conjunction with good nutritional food and a solid fitness plan.

I would never use it solely as a meal replacement, as it’s only 120 calories per serving, but it would work wonders when taken with an actual meal replacement like Huel (our top-rated natural meal replacement).

If you are someone who likes to drink it on its own, then the taste is pleasant enough to do this, however, the chalky texture will take a bit of getting used to.

If a really nice tasting product is the first priority for you, then why not try “Athletic Greens” instead
